The Czech Republic has a crypto license for businesses. The license is valid for all types of businesses, including exchanges, mining farms, and blockchain projects. It’s free to apply for the license, and there are no fees associated with it. However, the license is only valid in the Czech Republic. If you want to operate outside of the country, you will need to get a different license from another jurisdiction.
As of July 2018, there are four crypto licenses in the Czech Republic https://adamsmith.lt/en/finance-and-blockchain/crypto-license-in-czech-republic/:
• Crypto license for information technology companies (ITC)
• Crypto license for energy companies (ECO)
• Crypto license for financial companies (FTC)
• Crypto license for property developers (FDI)
The ITC crypto license covers IT companies that provide IT services or support IT infrastructure. You must be incorporated in the Czech Republic and have a physical presence in the country. The ECO crypto license covers energy companies that buy, sell, or generate electricity. The FTC crypto license covers financial companies that provide financial services such as investment banking or insurance. The FDI crypto license covers property developers that buy or sell real estate in the Czech Republic.
