Most colleges and universities require that students must first submit their test results to them in writing. However, there are some schools that do not have this requirement. It really depends on the college and school, but generally if the scores are submitted online, students will not need to send anything in the mail. Students can still send them by fax, but it is recommended that they test their scores first using the internet. There are a few steps involved with how to submit ACT scores to colleges. Students must go to the site, log in using their username and password and then select the subjects they would like to take and click "submit." Then the results will show up in about 30 minutes. Students can receive their scores in a number of different ways including email, electronic format and even a paper copy. Students can get the paper copy by visiting the admissions office where they will need to provide proof of their test results.
