Very nice tab !! Just
Very nice tab !!
Just difficult to play without duration notation somewhere T_T
Maybe Tuxguitar can't do that ? (I didn't remind)
Anyway it works using the ASCII export from GuitarPro 5, then the tab becomes :

I dont understand why people
I dont understand why people think playing a tab without duration markers is difficult. do you not know the song or something????? and even if you dont know the song, just listen to it and keep practicing.
most of the songs i play on
most of the songs i play on this site are those from games i've never played let alone even heard about. having duration markers in a tab is useful for when i want to play a tab the whole way through without having heard the song before. i imagine its similar to sight reading, though i can't read musical notation so i wont claim thats the case. i don't disagree that simply listening to the song before playing the tab helps, i think it makes it way easier and i encourage doing it if you struggle playing a tab.
im looking through my favorites section on this site and starting to realize that of the hundreds of tabs i have favorited on here, theres only a select few of which i know what the original song the tab is based off of sounds like. also i think its worth mentioning that i value how well a tab can be sight read, probably more than i should. when i make a tab i like to make it as clear as possible to the reader that the way it is tabbed out is the way i play it. i would like, for whoever is reading my tab to be able to recreate my vision of what i want the song im tabbing to sound like. whether the reader does that or completely changes it is up to them. also sometimes listening to the original doesn't help much cause the tab is changed from the original to the point that it could be its own song, i.e. stamen's 'Midna's Lament'. in those cases listening to the midi or even better watching a video would be the best thing to help play the tab. but theres hardly anyone recording vids now, and i think midis are dead still(?)
honestly im just a bit bummed, i feel that this site could be booming with popularity and that it has so much potential. and i would like to help with that but just don't have the motivation to do it. sorry for wall of txt
pretty much! while it's all
pretty much! while it's all eighth notes in 4/4 i'd say no notation is fine, but as soon as you start getting triplets/sixteenth notes and more mixed in frequently it definitely helps to have some tab notation
A question
How do you play something like

Also, if you're intent on using a pick and theres not too many bass notes, you can pluck the bass note with the pick and use your middle, ring, or pinky fingers for the higher notes.
