You have to hammer-on the the

You have to hammer-on the the fret number after the H not before the H.

Example:

0 H 1

So that is an open note followed by a hammer on the 1st fret.

Same with the pull offs.

0 H 1 P 0 = open, hammer on 1, pull off to open.
